Pisa-post 6

on the wonderful Wednesday afternoon we stopped in a small town named Pisa. I know I make it sound like its no big deal and I'm wasting time to write about it but it is home to a beloved monument named the leaning tower of Pisa. this crooked bell tower is a widely know tower all across the world. We climbed the many steps to the top of the tower and saw a breath taking view. At the top of this tower we learned that in sunk into mud therefore giving it a lean. I'm glad I saw this and got a chance to climb it. I will never forget it.

Lina-post 2

when we travel in the small town my grandmother is filled with memories of her days as an Italian mother. Soon we reach the house of a woman named Lina who took care of my mother from a very young age. When we reach the old house just as my mom had left it, a old lady walk out from the doorway greating us in a very loud manner. Kissing us on both cheeks as is custome in Italy, she walks into the door, motioning us to follow. I sit down in the quaint little kitchen and see a wonderfull pice of pannetoni and an steaming cup of coffe. I bite into the pannetoni and sip my coffe as my fammily and Lina get up to speed with each other. Then Lina asked me "come ti chiami?". I search my mind and say "Isaac". She looks at me in a funny way and says "Isaac?". Apparantly Isaac is not a name in Italian, so we ask of the name in the Bible and she responded whith an "OHHHHH, you mean Isacco.", and I play along and go "Sì". Next we take a photo (which saddly I am unable to get) and walk out the door for a long drive to send us to a place called Bolzano or Bozen in German. This is where my mom's ex boyfriend still lives today.

The flight-Post 1

Yesterday we finished our 10 hour flight followed by another 2 hour flight to Venice. Next,
we went on our we to Aviano were my mom spent the first few years of her life.
Plagued with jet lag we slowly drove to a small restaurant next to our hotel and had "Little"
Italian dinner. Slowly we chewed our 30 euro meal (45 dollar) and were soon taken by the
many flavors of Italian Cuisine. Forgetting our jet lag we laughed and had a good time and finished with a nice
tirasu and drove to the hotel. The very next day we awoke and went down stairs for a lovely Italian colazione or breakfast. We drank a cup of great coffee, had a piece of bread with Nutella,
and were on way to my mom's old friend's house. This is were I will have to leave you my friends
for the has not unfolded.
